The Calgary Flames could be getting some reinforcements sooner rather than later.

Forward Jonathan Huberdeau, who has yet to suit up for the Flames this regular season, has resumed skating and could travel with the team later this week, head coach Ryan Huska told reporters on Monday.

Huberdeau suffered an injury during a pre-season game against the Vancouver Canucks when he collided with goaltender Kevin Lankinen. He was placed on injured reserve to start the season.

The 32-year-old is coming off his best season in Calgary, scoring 28 goals and 62 points in 81 games in 2024-25.

Huska also told reporters that Martin Pospisil, who also started the season on IR, has yet to resume skating.

Pospisil missed the final pre-season game with an undisclosed injury. He had a career-best 25 points
