ARCHDALE, N.C. — Operators of Kersey Valley SpookyWoods took to its Facebook page to remind guests to “respect the scare” and avoid touching actors after several recent incidents involving physical contact.

The popular Archdale haunted attraction said some visitors have hit, grabbed or shoved performers in recent weeks, putting cast members’ safety at risk.

“Our team works hard to create a thrilling, safe, and unforgettable experience for everyone who visits,” organizers said in a statement. “We don’t touch you please don’t touch us.”

SpookyWoods emphasized that its scares are designed for entertainment only, not physical interaction. Guests who violate the rules may be removed from the attraction.
