PARIS, Texas — Two men who once worked at a major pipe manufacturer in Paris, Texas, have filed federal civil rights lawsuits claiming they were subjected to racist abuse, nooses, and retaliation after they reported discrimination.

The men, Jawan Daniels and Andre Waters, are suing American SpiralWeld Pipe Co., accusing the company of allowing a hostile work environment where racist behavior was tolerated, even by supervisors. Their lawsuits were filed in the Eastern District of Texas under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act.

Both men are represented by attorneys Jay Ellwanger and James Vagnini, who have handled multiple discrimination cases in Paris over the past two decades.
