BAXLEY, Ga. (WTOC) - Two kids were injured in a shooting in Baxley, GA, over the weekend, WTOC has confirmed with the City of Baxley Police Department.
According to Baxley Police Chief Jeffery Taylor, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, officers with the Baxley Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Lawanna Drive in reference to a ‘shots fired’ call.
Chief Taylor says that, upon arrival, officers identified two juvenile victims who had received gunshot wounds.
The Chief says both victims were flown to Appling County Hospital for further treatment.
“This investigation is ongoing,” Chief Taylor says.
