IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The former University of Iowa Machine Shop manager pleaded guilty to theft after being accused of stealing nearly $950,000 from the university .

Brian Busch, pleaded guilty to first-degree theft and first-degree fraudulent practice after doing jobs for his personal company on University of Iowa property.

An investigation showed the jobs were completed by Busch or his employees during hours they were paid by the University of Iowa machine shop.

Authorities say Busch deposited nearly $1 million into his personal accounts that should have gone to the university’s account.
