DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Members of the Project Renewal community left their mark on a new project for the organization Monday.
Staff, families and volunteers signed an integral vertical steel beam for Project Renewal’s new building, which will serve as the organization’s hub of activity and academic center.
“For 51 years Project Renewal has been present in this neighborhood, empowering children and families by acting as a loving presence and providing high quality after-school and summer programming for the students we serve,” said Alex Cahill, president of Project Renewal’s Board of Directors, in a media release. “The programs are free at Project Renewal and dramatically impact the students.”
The new facility will replace the group’s Treat House.
