SpaceX launched Starship Monday night at approximately 7:23 p.m. Eastern time, marking its 11th flight test.

According to SpaceX , this flight test was meant to "build on the successful demonstrations from Starship's tenth flight test."

SpaceX completed a major milestone with its 10th test flight of the Starship upper stage, successfully executing a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean — a feat the company has been pursuing for years.

In recent months, SpaceX said it has made several hardware and operational changes to increase the reliability of Starship following the explosion as it was preparing for its 10th test flight.
