HOLDINGFORD — Eva Schlieman pounded down 17 kills to go with four blocks and a dig to help the Pierz Pioneers outlast the Holdingford Huskers 3-2 in a Section 6-2A matchup Monday, Oct. 13.

Brooklyn Hanneken finished with 39 set assists, five blocks and eight kills. Sophie Leidenfrost led Pierz with 25 digs and Autumn Jones recorded 13 digs, 12 kills, four ace serves and a set assist.

VERNDALE — Madyson Anderson posted 11 kills, six digs and an ace serve as the Vendale Pirates knocked off the Laport Wildcats 3-0 in a Section 5-1A West matchup Monday, Oct. 13.

Sena Lehmann led Verndale with 17 digs and three ace serves. Emily Elfstrum posted 14 set assists, nine kills, seven digs and three blocks and Aspen Orlando dished out 18 set assists.

Verndale improves to 5-4 against section teams.
