ATHENS, P.A. (WENY) -- A longtime local business known for serving musicians across the region is officially closing after a bus crashed into its building back in May. The owners of Yale's Music Shop in Athens posted an announcement on Saturday.

After nearly 35 years in business, Yale's Music Shop has announced it will not reopen following extensive damage from the crash.

The family-owned shop took to Facebook on Saturday to share that recovery efforts were slowed when crews discovered asbestos contamination inside the building, forcing them to lose nearly all their inventory, from instruments and amplifiers to sheet music and fixtures.
