Mount Buffalo National Park is partially reopening to the public on Tuesday as police continue their search for suspected double killer Dezi Freeman.
Freeman hasn't been seen since two officers were shot dead and a third injured on August 26.
A major manhunt involving multiple police forces and other agencies has been under way since the shooting , which claimed the lives of officers Neal Thompson and Vadim De Waart-Hottart.
A police spokeswoman said the park would open on October 14, with some areas still off-limits while the operation continued.
"As part of this search, Victoria Police's tactical members, Public Order Response Team, as well as other specialist resources, have searched large areas of the Mount Buffalo National Park," the spokeswoman said.
"Extensive searches of
