WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Nationwide “No Kings” protests are set for Saturday in cities across the U.S., including Wichita. Demonstrators are organized with the intent of protesting President Trump’s policies.

Defend Democracy ICT is organizing the demonstration planned for Wichita. At the local level, 12 News spoke with a woman who’s planning to be among the protesters in Wichita. The woman, Brittany Williams, said she was never politically active but said that the president’s policies on immigration prompted her to take action.

“Silence is complicity. If we don’t speak up against others losing their rights, what happens if our rights are taken?” Williams said.
