LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Weeks after a serious crash on Interstate 65, a 51-year-old man has died from his injuries, according to Louisville Metro Police.
The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, near the 124-mile marker on I-65 northbound, close to the county line.
Police said 51-year-old Daniel W. Ingram was driving in the third lane of the four-lane highway when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle drifted across lanes and collided with a work truck that had pulled onto the right-hand shoulder after experiencing a tire blowout.
The impact was severe. Ingram had to be extricated from his vehicle by Okolona Fire before being transported to University of Louisville Hospital by EMS with critical, life-threatening injuries.
