A low pressure system moving down the West Coast will bring widespread rain and gusty winds to San Diego County through Tuesday night, though no significant flooding is expected.
The storm will deliver the bulk of its precipitation on Tuesday afternoon as a frontal band sweeps across the region from northwest to southeast, according to the National Weather Service.
Northern San Diego County can expect a half-inch to 1 inch of rain, with downtown areas receiving a quarter-inch to a half-inch, with localized higher amounts possible.
Temperatures will remain 5 to 15 degrees below average through Tuesday, forecasters said.
