PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. —
The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs was affected by floodwaters over the weekend, impacting 10 out of its 50 hot springs.
Although the resort dealt with the flooding, guests continued to enjoy the pools that remained open on a higher level.
"It was rising by the hour, and by 4 p.m., it came up to this first step here. That's when we really started shutting down," said Jesse Hensle, the vice president of marketing for The Springs Resort.
Video footage captured the floodwaters covering the resort on Saturday. Hensle explained that the water rose above one of the pools, requiring staff to shovel out about three feet of mud to restore it.
