MURRAY – The Calloway County Fiscal Court was recently informed it had been approved for a Kentucky Division of Emergency Management (KYEM) grant to aid Calloway County Fire-Rescue with the purchase of two-way radios.

A letter from KYEM to Judge-Executive Kenny Imes said the county’s Rescue Aid Program grant application has been approved for Fiscal Year 2026 and will total $21,705.27. The letter said the grant’s funding has been provided by the state general fund.

The letter said CCFR may only order or purchase approved equipment, services, or training within 15 days of the receipt of the grant funds. The agency must follow local procurement policies and procedures, and CCFR must provide a copy of all paid invoices as well as proof of payment within 90 days of the receipt of the grant
