The historic building which houses one of Melbourne's most famous nightclubs is expected to be sold off for a cool $15 million.

The Revolver Building on Chapel Street in Prahan is home to club "Revs", a popular music haunt that has hosted the likes of Snoop Dogg, Fatboy Slim and Fred Again over its 28-year history.

Described in the listing as "Melbourne's most iconic and longstanding hospitality and cultural hub", the 2730sqm building has a rare 24-hour liquor licence and even has a fully-furnished apartment sitting above the dancefloor.

It is being sold because the original founder of Revolver Tan Punturaumporn is moving back to Thailand to pursue charitable and spiritual endeavours.
