YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A Pennsylvania doctor was arrested as part of a sting operation after he traveled to Youngstown believing he had arranged to have sex with an underage girl.

A news release from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office says Dr. Robert Zewe Jr., 50, of Erie, Pa., has been charged with compelling prostitution, possession of criminal tools, and engaging in prostitution. Zewe was arrested Friday by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Authorities say Zewe reportedly agreed to pay for sex with a fictitious underage girl and her mother.

WFMJ Channel 21 reports Zewe was released from the Columbiana County Jail after posting bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
