Palakkad: The much awaited order in the cold-blooded murder of Sajitha , a 54-year-old, mother of two girls by Chenthamara in Palakkad has been pronounced. The sessions court who found Chenthamara guilty will be pronouncing the verdict on October 16.

The convict had also killed Sajitha’s husband, Sudhakaran, and her mother, Lakshmi, while out on bail in this case. Additional District Judge Kenneth George pronounced the verdict. The quantum of sentence will be announced on October 16.

“We are extremely relieved by the verdict. We hope he is awarded the death sentence,” said Athulya and Akhila , the couple’s daughters. They had earlier told the media that even seeing someone who slightly resembled Chenthamara would disturb them.
