Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma strongly reacted to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement calling non-NC MLAs “sellouts.” Sharma said such remarks do not suit the CM and rejected his claim that voting against the National Conference goes against Kashmiriyat. Responding to MP Aga Ruhullah’s statement on Budgam elections, Sharma said the NC would soon collapse like a house of cards, adding that the era of family politics is over and questioned that the state always needs a chief minister from the Abdullah family.
