In a significant breakthrough, Raebareli police have arrested two more individuals in connection with the lynching of Dalit man Hariom Valmiki, raising the total number of suspects in custody to 14. The accused, identified as Chhotu alias Sujeet Agrahari and Avinesh Singh alias Saurabh Singh Baghel, were detained from Baniyan ka Purwa in Pachkhara village.

The tragic incident has sparked political controversy, drawing attention from prominent figures such as Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, who engaged with the victim's family. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has promised justice, assuring the family of government support, including housing and employment for Valmiki's widow, Sangeeta Valmiki.
