Two years apart, separated by war and captivity, Israeli couple Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or were reunited this week in a moment that caught global attention. The couple, who went viral on October 7, 2023, embraced each other after 738 days, as they were kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova Music Festival in Israel.

Or was among the 20 hostages freed on Monday as part of a truce deal between Israel and Hamas, ending his two-year captivity in Gaza. At the Re’im crossing, he walked into a hospital room and fell into the arms of his girlfriend, Argamani, who was rescued by Israeli forces in June 2024.
