An open letter to President Trump on the Northeast Resupply Enhancement Project:

Dear President Trump,

In a recent post on X and its associated memo to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Secretary Burgum cited the Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle Protection Act as a guiding framework for safeguarding America’s natural heritage during energy infrastructure reviews. I commend that approach in principle, and want to call attention to one project in particular that stands in direct conflict with that vision: the proposed Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipeline in the waters of New York.
