Frederick County Council Member Mason Carter will seek reelection in 2026 with a goal to address residents' affordability concerns.

The 21-year-old Republican — who, in 2022, became one of the youngest people ever elected to a county council-level position in Maryland — looks to serve a second term in the District 5 seat.
