Botad: Tensions erupted in Haddad village of Botad following a farmer Mahapanchayat organized by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders over disputes regarding cotton prices and quality. The event, held without administrative permission, witnessed violent scenes, including stone pelting by the crowd that injured several police personnel, including the DYSP and PI, and caused vandalism to police vehicles. In the wake of the incident, Paliyad Police have registered cases against 85 individuals, including AAP leaders, for violence, stone pelting, and vandalism. So far, 65 people have been detained.
