A body of an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was found under suspicious circumstances in a room near an agricultural field in Rohtak’s Ladhot village, Haryana. The ASI was identified as Sandip Lather, who had accused IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar of corruption.

He allegedly died by suicide, and levelled corruption allegations against Kumar in a suicide note.

“This was a hardworking ASI of our Police Department, Sandeep. He was very honest and hardworking. His body has been found. A forensic team has been called, and an investigation is being carried out. He was posted in the Cyber Cell,” said Rohtak SP Surendra Singh Bhoria.
