State officials are now offering $25,000 for information leading to a conviction in the 1992 death of a 13-year-old girl in Catawba County.

Isis Denise “Dee Dee” Dawkins was found dead in the Henry Fork River in Brookford on July 28, 1992 . The only thing Dee Dee was wearing was a bra and a shoe, according to Hickory Daily Record articles from 1992.

Dee Dee was reported missing on July 5 that year. She had last been seen on July 3. Dee Dee's remains were not identified until Aug. 14, 1992, Governor Josh Stein’s office said in a news release.

Stein said the state is now offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for Dee Dee’s death.
