BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The first few weeks of fall have been dry to say the least. In a month that typically brings the Brazos Valley over 3.00″ of rain, we picked up 0.04″. October has not been any kinder - not a drop of rain has fallen at Easterwood Airport. Needless to say, we need rain, and lots of it.
As a result of this prolonged warm, dry weather, vegetation across the region has become extremely stressed. Week after week, drought monitors have proven that conditions are only worsening.
