Dhanteras 2025: Diwali, the festival of lights, is almost here. One of the biggest Hindu festivals, the celebrations span for five days, starting with Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi – an auspicious day to buy gold, silver and other items that symbolise wealth and prosperity. Before the Diwali Puja, Narak Chaturdashi or Chhoti Diwali (October 20) is celebrated, while Govardhan Puja (October 22) and Bhai Dooj (October 23) extend the celebrations by bringing more festive joy.
