HOUSTON — It's been a historical and emotional day, as surviving Israeli hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners were set free as part of the Gaza ceasefire that paused more than two years of war.

The 20 hostages reunited with their families included 25-year-old Israeli reservist Eitan Mor. He was working security at the music festival when Hamas soldiers attacked, killing hundreds and taking Mor and dozens of other Israelis prisoner.

Mor's cousin, Dr. Alan Kellerman, watched history unfold Monday morning from Houston as the hostages were released after 738 days in captivity.

"So it's unbelievable. Like, you know, he was just one of 20 that were still alive, and, you know, it feels miraculous, you know that he's back home with his family," Kellerman told KHOU 11.
