Doug Lebda, the founder and CEO of lending firm LendingTree, tragically passed away in a horrific incident described as an “all-terrain vehicle” accident on Sunday.
Lebda was 55.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the crash occurred at his family’s farm in North Carolina, but no other information was made available.
His wife, Megan, has released a statement lauding his compassion and highlighting the legacy he left behind.
“Our hearts are broken, but we are also deeply grateful for the love and support that has poured in from across the world,” she said. “Doug’s legacy will continue in the company he founded, the lives he touched, and the example he set for all of us to lead with kindness, courage, and compassion.”
