The 2026 season for the PGA Tour will see a lot of changes. Jay Monahan & Co. took some drastic measures to regulate the slow pace of play this season and introduced a completely new field setup for next year. The field size for every event was reduced. And that had a drastic effect on various qualification criteria. One of them was, the PGA Tour exemption status for the top-ranked golfers was lowered from the top 125 to 100. The limited allocation of spots has put everyone on their toes. And even Viktor Hovland has shared his concerns about them.
