We are falling out of love with our national dishes, shock research has found. ‌

More than half of us feast on traditional grub less than once a month, and only 22% say it’s their favourite cuisine. ‌

And a quarter confessed they’ve never tried steak and kidney pie and have no desire to, according to data from fintech firm Marshmallow. ‌

Instead, international dishes dominate as 68% of people tuck into non-British cuisine at home weekly.
