Google has announced a $15 billion investment over the next five years to set up its first AI hub in India, located in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Andhra Pradesh. The announcement was made during Google’s flagship Bharat AI Shakti event in New Delhi, hailed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as fully aligned with India’s “Viksit Bharat” vision. The company will set up a 1-gigawatt AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, which the tech giant says will be its largest artificial intelligence hub outside the United States.
