Friends With Classic Cars brought the community together to host a show focusing on vintage cars and horse carriages in the rebuilding Brightmoor neighborhood of Detroit.

This was the 6 th year for the show, which takes place twice a year, spring and fall, at Etheldra Mae Williams Park. While this fall's show, held Oct. 11 and 12, was mostly focused on American classic cars, there were a few German and Japanese classics on display. The biggest attraction to the show wasn’t the cars, but the horses that showed up.

The horseless carriage

The main theme of this show was how the horse and buggy transitioned to the original horseless carriage invented by Karl Benz in 1886, leading to the automobiles we have today. Some of the oldest cars on display were a 1925 Garden Four-Door Inline 6 Sed
