PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A two-year battle with leukemia lead to a grader schooler walking out cancer free on Monday.
Nine-year-old Chloe Montgomery of Manito rang the bell to signify her last treatment injection at OSF’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Peoria, surrounded by friends, family, and even former teachers.
Chloe was diagnosed with T-cell leukemia in 2023.
It’s another win for St. Jude, which has supported Chloe and thousands of other kids in their battle against cancer.
Chloe mentioned the first thing she wants to do is watch a movie with mom and dad, along with “being rough” without worrying about anybody getting hurt.
The family is heading to Disney World to celebrate, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
