KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Mental Health Association of East Tennessee serves many different communities, and now they're branching out to areas that may not have as many opportunities for mental health care as others.
"What we've discovered is, residents of rural communities around Knoxville are even more predisposed to not being able to access care," said Ben Harrington, CEO of the Mental Health Association of East Tennessee.
For the association this new program provides an opportunity to help people who may have never been able to understand how to deal with their mental health issues.
