SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Texas Lottery has announced that a San Angelo resident has claimed a $1 million top-prize winning lottery ticket through a scratch ticket game.

According to a news release issued by Texas Lottery on Oct. 14, the resident won the prize through the Diamond 7s scratch ticket game.

"This was the first of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game," Texas Lottery said. "Diamond 7s offers more than $137.4 million in total prizes. Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.51, including break-even prizes."

The ticket was purchased at Walmart Supercenter #1249, located at 610 W. 29th St. in San Angelo.
