Landmark Society sues to preserve part of Cutler Mail Chute building in Rochester

A modest two-story building on Anderson Avenue once produced mail chutes for some of the world's most notable skyscrapers.

Today, it sits vacant and is at the center of a preservation debate: The Landmark Society of Western New York has sued the city of Rochester after the planning commission denied an application to designate the building a historical landmark.
