ATLANTA — The Atlanta Press Club Loudermilk-Young Debate Series featured candidates for Atlanta Mayor, although there was one notable name missing from his podium: incumbent Mayor Andre Dickens . Each candidate noted his absence, including corporate consultant Helmut Domagalski .

"Not showing up is indicative of someone who's not committed to the people," Domagalski said. "We are used to having a missing mayor, whether it was the way he handled the infrastructure crisis, the OIG and the corruption we’re finding in the city, the changes on the East Beltline.”

Domagalski is the only Republican in the mayoral race, billing himself as a responsible capitalist. He called himself a connection builder and said the city's establishment was not working, whether it had to to do with income
