LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Three Louisville Metro Councilmembers are inviting residents to a community town hall meeting to learn more about the upcoming I-65 Central Corridor Project.

The project is a major infrastructure effort that's expected to have significant impacts on traffic in Louisville.

As part of the project, the I-65 downtown corridor will be closed to traffic between Jefferson Street and the Watterson Expressway from June through July 2026.

Councilmembers Jennifer Chappell (D-15), Ken Herndon (D-4), and JP Lyninger (D-6) will host a meeting on Monday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m., in the auditorium of the Louisville Free Public Library Main Branch.

Representatives from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Louisville Metro Public Works Department of Transportation will also be there.
