Rod Wave is countersuing the promoter, Grizzly Touring, claiming that their previously filed $27 million lawsuit is an attempt to keep him obligated to work with them despite scheduling and production issues forcing him to cancel a large portion of his Last Lap tour .

Grizzly, a joint venture between AG Entertainment, Mammoth Touring and CTS Eventim, filed their suit last month and Rod’s counterclaim is his “first response” to it, according to Billboard . Grizzly is claiming the singer-rapper is required to repay $27 million in advances from the tour, adding that Rod remains under contract to work with the promoter for future tours.
