LOS INDIOS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Over $1 million in methamphetamine and black tar heroin were seized at the Los Indios International Bridge last week, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
CBP says that on Oct. 6, a 37-year-old Mexican citizen attempted to cross a 2001 Chevrolet into the United States, which was referred for a primary and secondary inspection.
The narcotics were seized during a secondary inspection, which revealed packages hidden inside the vehicle, including 67.1 pounds of meth and 42.5 pounds of black tar heroin.
The estimated street value of the narcotics from the seizure is approximately $595,996 in meth and $714,092 in heroin — a combined value of $1,331,172.
