An asylum seeker accused of murdering a migrant hotel worker was captured on CCTV 'staring' at the mum hours before a 'vicious' attack, a court has heard.
Deng Chol Majek left Rhiannon Skye Whyte bleeding to death on a deserted train platform after stabbing her to death with a screwdriver, prosecutors say.
He is said to have thrust the screwdriver 23 times into the mum's head and body at Bescot Stadium train station as she made her way home after a late shift at the nearby Park Inn hotel.
Opening the case on Tuesday (October 14), prosecutor Michelle Heeley KC said Majek was captured on CCTV 'just staring' at Ms Whyte during her shift at the hotel, which was being at the time to house asylum seekers.
