Cheryl Hines, the wife of Robert Kennedy Jr., has a new book out, but in her discussion with "The View" it was clear that her husband overshadowed the conversation Tuesday.

Co-host Sunny Hostin, whose own husband is an orthopedist who graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, forced Hines, a star on the comedy hit "Curb Your Enthusiasm," to answer questions she had about some of Kennedy's comments and conspiracy theories.

It included her hammering Hines on her husband's lack of experience to serve as the director of the Health and Human Services Department — with Hines going on the defensive.

"Because of Bobby's background — everything I have seen him do — he has dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people's healthcare, people's health, I should say," she said about Kennedy working on lawsuits against Monsanto and other companies like Exxon and DuPont.

"But the problem, respectfully, is that your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we have had in history," Hotin said. "I think that's very dangerous."

"Why is he less qualified than an economist? How is that possible? He has spent his career studying toxins, studying people's health. Fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job," said Haines about Kennedy's lawsuits.

While it's unclear which former secretary she was referring to, there have been many non-medical professionals who have led HHS, with the most common occupation being an elected official.

"He has also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion," Hostin said as the audience applauded in agreement.

"I think it's just a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect," she added.

There was a back-and-forth about the COVID-19 vaccine and Hostin said that at the very least Dr. Anthony "Fauci has a medical degree."

Joy Behar interrupted what was becoming a contentious debate by asking about Kennedy's "brain worm" — and Hines laughed, promising it was dead.
