Wind Advisory in effect as cold storm moves into Las Vegas

Good morning,

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 8 AM today through 9 PM Tuesday, with gusts up to 45 MPH possible across the Las Vegas Valley. A Winter Weather Advisory also continues through 11 PM Tuesday for the Spring and Sheep Range Mountains.

A cold, potent low-pressure system will continue to dig south over California, increasing winds across the valley today and bringing slight shower chances Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds are expected to peak Tuesday, with some gusts potentially stronger in parts of the valley.

Temperatures will stay well below average through the week, dipping into the upper 60s to low 70s by midweek.
