Freeze Warning in Effect for Yakima Valley: Tuesday, October 14th

Towns from Prosser to Ellensburg are getting ready for the crisp fall weather and the first frost. There is a freeze warning in effect for the Yakima Valley from Tuesday, October 14th, beginning from 11 p.m. until Wednesday, October 15th, at 9 a.m.

If you have delicate plants on the patio, it's almost time to bring them in for the fall and winter. Those sensitive plants and herbs like basil, rosemary, peppers, Dahlias, and Canna Lilies need to be brought indoors if you want to keep them fresh (and alive).

Snow Has Already Dropped in Some Areas of the Yakima Valley

Some of Washington's mountain passes are already seeing inches of snow. Reports of snow sightings on Stevens Pass, White Pass, and Blewett Pass were announced this week.
