The Konyak Union (KU) has directed all Naga Political Groups (NPGs) to “desist from parading in uniforms or carrying arms within Mon district.”

“Under no circumstances shall any faction make forceful demands, abduct persons, or engage in threats or intimidation,” stated a resolution adopted during an emergency meeting held at KU Mon Headquarters on October 13.

The meeting further resolved that failure to comply with the directive would prompt an immediate declaration of non-cooperation against the offending NPG(s).

“In such an event, the KU will organise and mobilise Konyak youth to deploy to designated locations to confront and neutralise violations,” it added.
