President Donald Trump offered Argentina's right-wing president Tomahawk missiles to use on his "opposition" in an apparent joke.

During a news conference with President Javier Milei on Tuesday, Trump was asked if he would discuss providing weapons to Ukraine when he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday.

"He wants weapons. He would like to have Tomahawks," the U.S. president explained. "We have a lot of Tomahawks."

Trump then turned to Milei: "Do you need any Tomahawks in Argentina?"

"You need them for your opposition, I guess," he added. "Because in this country, they'd use Tomahawks for the opposition. I don't do that. I'm much nicer. The Democrats would use them if they had the chance. They're sick people."
