OSCODA – A workshop on the basics of grant writing will be held this coming week in Oscoda Township.

Hosted by Develop Iosco and funded by the Michigan Office of Rural Prosperity, the free workshop is designed for business owners, but is also described as a perfect opportunity for anyone else who is interested in learning more about grant writing.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the basics of grant writing, including how to find funders, putting together a grant calendar, the required sections of grant proposals and required attachments.

There will also be talks about upcoming grant opportunities, and time included for questions and answers.

Dr. Manuela Kress, with Mid-Michigan Grant Writers, will be a presenter at the event.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, Oct.
