PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A federal court has set a hearing to decide whether or not to extend the temporary restraining order preventing troops from being deployed to Portland.
Then hearing will be held by telephonic conference 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to a scheduling order issued by U.S. District of Oregon Judge Karin Immergut.
According to court documents, both parties have been asked to be prepare to discuss whether to extend the temporary restraining order by 14 days.
The Oregon Attorney General filed a motion for a temporary restraining order on Sept. 29, which paused the deployment of federal troops to Portland. The judge granted the order on Oct. 4, and it is set to expire Saturday.
